OwnFone Limited is a UK based easy to use mobile phone manufacturer. We have developed a technology for the rapid design and production of personalised credit card sized mobile phones. The majority of our customers are aged 80+ and may never have used a mobile phone before. Other users may have cognitive or sight impairment or other disabilities that make the OwnFone handset a perfect way to communicate with loved ones, friends or carers. OwnFone handsets are being increasingly used as a cost effective way of providing Telecare without the need for expensive landline connections. We partner with several prominent charities who help us to market the handset through their channels and benefit from the revenue sharing schemes that we have in place. The OwnFone has been described as the world’s simplest mobile phone, but behind that lies a sophisticated technology platform that allows the purchaser to design their own phones with either word, image or braille call buttons. Contact phone numbers are held in the OwnFone cloud and can be changed remotely with a call to our Customer Services team. OwnFone handsets are currently available in the UK and through a partnership in Australia. Roll out plans into Europe are planned for 2016.
