Overview
Established in 1970 by Angela Flowers, Flowers Gallery has two London exhibition spaces in Mayfair and Shoreditch, and an American space in New York. The gallery participates regularly in international art fairs and is an active publisher of prints and multiples. Flowers Gallery currently represents 48 artists working across a diverse range of media, including world renowned photographers such as Edward Burtynsky and Nadav Kander, leading figurative painters such as Tai-Shan Schierenberg and Peter Howson, and prominent abstract artists including Richard Smith. The gallery is proud to maintain an ethos of showcasing these established practitioners alongside emerging talent. Since 1983, the gallery’s annual exhibition ‘Artist of the Day’ has invited leading figures in contemporary art to nominate rising talent to exhibit their work in our Mayfair space. Flowers gallery has recently celebrated its 45th anniversary and has exciting future plans for expansion in Hong Kong.
