In 2005, Matt Tant (CEO) found himself working on one of his first searches during his second week as a new recruiter. A Fortune 100 business had paid his staffing firm a $144,000.00 retainer fee to research, locate, and deliver an executive-level financial candidate. Matt was assigned to the job and spent the next several days calling numerous people and gathering information about potential candidates to fill this role. He ultimately filled the position by calling hundreds of people and finally found the winning candidate through his college alumni network and their industry contacts. This experience, while financially rewarding for Matt and his company, was frustrating.
Four years later, Matt sold IT services to a technology group led by Joe Christopher (CTO). They struck up a friendship and Matt shared his frustrating search story. Joe recounted similar experiences from a client perspective. Finding good talent cost too much time and money. It needed to be streamlined. They both agreed that something needed to be done about this inefficient and expensive process.
Together they started dreaming up an online marketplace and a modern candidate management platform where companies could work directly with agents who knew where to find talented people. These candidates could be delivered and organized online to make reviewing and collaborating easier. Finally, in the Summer of 2014, they decided to launch a software company to solve this problem…and Relode (Research. Locate. Deliver.) was formed.
At Relode, we believe that finding great candidates should be simple. We are confident that technology and the power of outsourcing will help you complete recruiting tasks for a fraction of the cost and time.
