Ondeck is a technology-enabled financial platform that provides loan financing to small- and medium-sized businesses. OnDeck’s innovative technology platform leverages electronic information including online banking and merchant processing data to identify the creditworthiness of small businesses in minutes, while traditional lenders typically take days or even weeks.
OnDeck partnered with other online lending platforms and a community lending non-profit association to create SMART Box, a capital comparison tool for small business financing. SMART Box uses standardized price metrics and explanations so people can best assess their loan options. They’ll find four key metrics: total cost of capital, annual percentage rate (APR), average monthly payment, and cents on the dollar.
