The Lambert family has been in transport ever since Ray Lambert's father started carrying freight in a Model T Ford van in 1919.
By 1953, the fleet had grown to 20 vehicles. Our main payloads were Bitumen for ESSO refineries, Pharmaceuticals for Boots the Chemist and Building materials.
Lambert Brothers Haulage Ltd was founded in 1960 by Ray and his brother Tony. We moved to Eastleigh in 1972 - the first occupants of what is now a major Hampshire trading estate at a strategic location close to the junction of motorways M27 (East – West) and the M3 (North – South) and close to the Port of Southampton.
Over the years we have acquired adjacent properties to cope with our growth and now own over 87,500 sq. ft. of warehousing on 7½ acres on the Boyatt Wood Trading Estate.
We specialise in offering to local industry and overseas importers, professional transport, warehousing and redistribution services. All our activities are supported by the latest in industry technology. Our main assets are our employees, many of whom have been with the company a number of years and all of whom have contributed much to the success of the company. We employ 175 staff and operate over 80 vehicles.
Ray and Tony have now retired from the business and in March 2015 we were acquired by Kinaxia Transport Group. Kinaxia is a fast growing company in the haulage and warehouse sector and has a £50m turnover. Together, with the Kinaxia owned companies, we can offer enhanced services to our customers, both locally and throughout the UK.
