Kirby (formerly known as Kirby Exploration Company) is a tank barge operator that transports bulk liquid products. It operates through two business segments: marine transportation (KMT) and distribution and services (KDS). The KMT segment provides marine transportation services, operating tank barges and towing vessels, transporting bulk liquid products such as petrochemicals, black oil, refined petroleum products, and agricultural chemicals. The KDS segment offers after-market services and genuine replacement parts for engines, transmissions, reduction gears, and related equipment used in oilfield services, marine, power generation, on-highway, and other industrial applications.
