Zyga was founded to develop and market innovative, minimally invasive surgical solutions to treat common but underserved painful conditions of the spine. The company is currently marketing the SImmetry Sacroiliac Joint Fusion System and is developing the Glyder Facet Restoration Device. Facetogenic and Sacroiliac joint pain are responsible for up to 30% and 20% of low back pain, respectively. These conditions are largely untreated surgically due to the lack of effective surgical solutions. Patients who suffer from these conditions typically receive palliative care such as steroid injections which provide temporary relief but require repeat treatments year after year.
