Vaxcyte (formerly known as SutroVax) is a company that develops vaccines designed to prevent or treat some of the most common and deadly infectious diseases. It utilizes a cell-free protein synthesis platform to enable the company to design and produce protein carriers and antigens, the critical building blocks of vaccines. Vaxcyte's lead vaccine candidate, VAX-24, is a preclinical, 24-valent PCV that is evaluated for the prevention of invasive pneumococcal disease, or IPD.
