Tigera is changing the way cloud networks are secured. Leveraging two seminal cloud networking open source projects – Calico (originally from Metaswitch, but now homed in Tigera) and Flannel from CoreOS – Tigera is creating an integrated cloud connectivity and workload security solution that can scale to the unprecedented level of virtual network and workload turnover that micro-services and containers are placing on large, cloud-native data centers. Our customers employ Canal for their enterprise cloud solutions. Canal is the combination and refinement of two existing cloud networking solutions, Project Calico and Flannel. The Tigera team originated and maintains Project Calico, and is collaborating with CoreOS to maintain Flannel and integrate it with Calico under the Canal umbrella.
