The Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI, 國研院台灣半導體研究中心) is a research institution focused on semiconductor technology trends. It researched the 3-nm node, new applications of semiconductors, including artificial intelligence, quantum computers, next-gen magnetic random access memory, high-speed computers, 5G network, etc. The institution also specializes in chip design, semiconductor fabrication, and verification services for semiconductor devices, circuits, and system integration. The Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute was formed as a result of a consolidation of the National Chip Implementation Center (CIC) and National Nano Device Laboratories (NDL).
