ScottishPower is an energy company. It operates through 3 divisions: Energy Networks, Renewables, and Energy Retail and Wholesale. The Energy Networks department owns and operates the network of cables and power lines transporting electricity. The Renewables department is responsible for the origination, development, construction, and operation of renewable energy generation plants, principally onshore and offshore wind. The Energy Retail and Wholesale department supplies electricity and gas to domestic and business customers, as well as installs smart meter programs, and manages smart solutions activities.
