SandRidge Energy, Inc. (NYSE: SD) is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with its principal focus on developing high-return, growth-oriented projects in the Mid-Continent region of the United States. In addition, SandRidge owns and operates a saltwater gathering and disposal system and a drilling and related oil field services business. In addition to its innovative approach to operations, SandRidge is also known for its highly engaged employee culture and for the “give, share, serve” approach to the communities where they operate. From partnering with schools to serving with existing community programs, SandRidge employees are aware of the needs within their neighborhoods and enjoy using their time, talents and resources to meet those needs in practical ways. SandRidge has proven to be highly committed to protecting our natural resources. Earlier this fall SandRidge was awarded the Chairman’s Stewardship award by the Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission for their leadership work protecting the Lesser Prairie Chicken in northern Oklahoma and Southern Kansas. The company has also been a frequent contributor to the growth and development of the Oklahoma River, which now serves as an official US Olympic Training Site. SandRidge has proudly sponsored the SandRidge Youth Rowing League since 2009 and is unveiling the brand new SandRidge Youth Pavilion to further extend river sporting opportunities to young people.
