Ron Skinner & Sons Summary

Company Summary

Overview
Ron and Rachel Skinner founded the business in Tredegar in June 1968. Based at Park Hill Garage, the company was initially a car repair shop and petrol station. By mid 1969 the decision was made to move into car sales and over the next five years the business became a healthy and profitable organisation founded on the principles of supplying high quality cars at the lowest possible prices. During 1974, the original site was redeveloped to incorporate the recently awarded Toyota dealership and for the next ten years the business flourished. In 1984 a second site was opened at Roundabout Garage, Rhymney, which included a large petrol forecourt and small used car operation. In October 2001 an even bigger showroom was to emerge - a modern, purpose built showroom which is the car hypermarket and used car megastore you can see today.
