Renaissance Learning

Through one of the world's largest anonymized data sets, Renaissance helps educators plot students along a research-validated learning path so that students can make progress to the height of their potential. Nearly 20 million students and teachers use Renaissance's cloud-based offerings in schools across the world. We are a classic American success story. Our founders, Judi and Terry Paul, began the company in the basement of a home in central Wisconsin. Over the years, their leadership, encouragement, and love of K12 education grew the company into a world leader with over 900 employees in six U.S. locations and subsidiaries in Canada and the United Kingdom. In 2011, Judi and Terry announced the company’s acquisition by Permira. And while many things have changed since our humble beginnings, our mission of accelerating learning for all still burns ever so brightly. In the 2012-2013 school year alone, Renaissance programs supported the reading of more than 335 million books, the mastery of 30 million math concepts and the administration of over 45 million STAR computer-adaptive tests -- more than any other interim assessment.
