Red Electrica Corporacion is engaged in the energy sector. The Company, through Red Electrica de Espana, is focused on the management of high-voltage transmission grid, and responsible for its development, maintenance and improvement of the network’s installations. Its activities also include the coordination among generation, transmission and distribution process of electric energy. In addition, the Company manages and leases telecommunications infrastructure, in particular fiber optic cables. Red Electrica Corporacion is a parent of the Red Electrica Group and operates through its subsidiaries and affiliates in a number of countries, such as Spain, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Peru, Chile and France.
