RAIT Financial Trust ("RAIT") (NYSE: RAS) is an internally-managed real estate investment trust ("REIT") that provides debt financing options to owners of commercial real estate and invests directly into commercial real estate properties located throughout the United States. In addition, RAIT is an asset and property manager of real estate-related assets. Since closing our initial public offering in January 1998, our management team has positioned RAIT as a vertically integrated commercial real estate company with a commercial real estate focused platform capable of originating commercial real estate loans, CMBS eligible loans, acquiring commercial real estate properties and investing in, managing, servicing, trading and advising on commercial real estate-related assets. Our management team is focused on producing attractive risk-adjusted returns while maximizing shareholder value over time.
