PrepNow's founders had a simple idea: to create a better alternative to impersonal learning centers.
With that goal in mind, Richard Enos and partner Gregory Zumas founded StudyPoint, Inc, a provider of in-home private tutoring, in Boston in 1999. They focused on the needs of families who wanted a higher level of customer service and convenience, and on students who would benefit from individualized, one-to-one instruction.
Early on, the company invested heavily in curriculum development and training standards, so that its tutors could deliver consistent and reliable academic and test prep results to families. As the company grew it added additional services and programs, ranging from individualized needs assessments to online homework tools.
As the organization replicated its tutoring model in new cities and towns, StudyPoint became a national organization serving clients on both coasts and in every major city in between.
Building on this success with students, and recognizing the growing potential to deliver high quality tutoring via a virtual classroom, StudyPoint launched PrepNow Tutoring. This division focused on high quality live online tutoring, and it broadened the company's reach to every city and town in America.
