The story of paragon Group began in 1988, when Klaus Dieter Frers founded paragon electronic GmbH in the freight depot of the former railroad station at Delbrück, near Paderborn in North Rhine-Westphalia. In its early years, paragon helped shape the boom in electronics contract manufacturing. The business grew so fast that the company already moved into newly built company premises in Delbrück in 1989. Pivotal points in the company’s continuing history were its entry into the automotive electronics business and its listing on the stock exchange.
