The New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) is an R1 research institution. It operates 4 divisions: Defense and Homeland Security, Entrepreneurship, Professional and Corporate Education, and Healthcare. The Defense division offers Advanced Development of Asset Protection Technologies (ADAPT) and Agile Innovation Management (AIM) programs. The Entrepreneurship Division is focused on engaging startups and growing organizations in entrepreneurial thinking and activities. The Entrepreneurship division provides leadership, management, creativity, innovation, data, and technology topics. The Healthcare division manages the New Jersey Information Network (NJHIN), Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program (MPP), Substance Use Disorder Promoting Interoperability Program (SUD PIP), and Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) programs.
