    Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is a company that designs, builds, delivers, and maintains ships and systems. It provides the engineering, scientific, technical, and logistical expertise, products, and support to the Fleet, Department of Defense, and other customers. NAVSEA is comprised of command staff, headquarters directorates, affiliated program executive offices (PEOs), and numerous field activities. Its five affiliated PEOs are responsible for different aspects of life-cycle management of their assigned programs. They include PEO Aircraft Carriers that focuses on the design, construction and delivery, and life-cycle support of all aircraft carriers and the integration of systems into aircraft carriers; PEO Columbia that focuses on the design, construction, and delivery of the Columbia-class fleet ballistic missile submarine; PEO Integrated Warfare Systems that develops, delivers, and sustains operationally dominant combat systems for sailors, PEO Ships that manages the acquisition and complete life-cycle support for U.S. Navy non-nuclear surface ships; PEO Submarines that focuses on the design, construction, delivery, and conversion of submarines and undersea and anti-submarine systems; and PEO Unmanned and Small Combatants that designs, develops, builds, maintains and modernizes the Navy's expanding family of unmanned maritime systems, mine warfare systems, and small surface combatants.
