Minerals Technologies (MTI) is a resource- and technology-based company that develops, produces and markets a range of specialty mineral, mineral-based and synthetic mineral products and related systems and services. It operates in four segments: Performance Materials, Specialty Minerals, Refractories, and Energy Services. The Performance Materials segment supplies with bentonite and bentonite-related products, as well as chromite and leonardite. The Specialty Minerals segment offers synthetic mineral products precipitated calcium carbonate, mines mineral ores, and natural mineral products. The Refractories segment produces monolithic and shaped refractory materials and specialty products, services and application and measurement equipment, as well as calcium metal and metallurgical wire products. Its Energy Services segment provides services to improve the production, costs, compliance, and environmental impact of activities performed in the oil and gas industry.
