It was Medisafe who, in 1992 introduced the world’s first ‘Sonic Irrigator (world official launch AORN Anaheim). The trade mark belongs to Medisafe and has become synonymous with cleaning the inside of complex / lumen surgical devices… Medisafe has been innovating since 1985 and now installs machines worldwide. Our principal activities include ‘sonic irrigation’ equipment and accessories for Sterile Processing / CSSD – although we also supply Mortuaries, Operating Rooms, Endoscopy Departments, Veterinary Surgeries, Dentists, Pharmaceutical Industries and Research Laboratories. With the introduction of complex surgery – decontamination / infection prevention remains firmly in focus. Ebola is the latest headline news making it very obvious to see how disease / cross infection issues can scale rapidly and become a global issue. Prion disease ( vCJD etc ) is constantly on the radar and process and procedures have changed in most countries as a consequence. Governmental directives state “Effective cleaning of surgical instruments prior to sterilization is one of utmost importance in reducing the risk of vCJD via surgical procedures”. Accordingly, we have continued developing new products and refine existing products, using some of the most advanced validation techniques in the world.
