Marine Biological Laboratory (also known as MBL) is a nonprofit institution specializing in exploring fundamental biology through research and education. It focuses on major research areas including the study of microbiomes and microbial diversity and ecology in a variety of ocean, organismal, and terrestrial habitats, adaptation, and resilience of environmental systems and organisms, comparative evolution and genomics, etc. The laboratory offers a range of graduate-level courses such as physiology, embryology, neurobiology, microbiology, and computation integrated with biological research.
