Luke Penney founded LEAP Organics in 2010, after spending countless hours making a mess of his kitchen and researching more about organic ingredients and sustainability than any normal person should. Prior to founding LEAP, Luke worked for one of the largest consulting firms in the U.S. as a consultant to foundations and non-profit organizations on issues related to endowment management, including researching sustainable and socially-responsible investments. Luke graduated from Colby College (ME), where he played four years of varsity basketball, including two trips to the NCAA Men’s Division III Basketball tournament. Luke received his Masters in Business Administration from the Johnson School at Cornell University (NY), where he focused on sustainable and socially-responsible business. Luke is also an Adjunct Professor at Colby College where he has taught a course called “Sustainable & Socially-Responsible Business” for the last four years.
