Kano Computing

Kano was inspired by a challenge from a 6 year old; create a new computer that is as simple and fun to make as Lego. Now we want a billion kids of all ages to make a computer, learn to code, and play with the world around them. Co-founded in January 2013 by Yonatan Raz-Fridman, Alex Klein and Saul Klein, Kano was launched on Kickstarter in 2013. Kano has developed with the help of hundreds of young people, artists and teachers worldwide and has raised seed funding from Index Ventures, James Higa, Troy Carter and Shana Fisher, among others. In 2015, it announced a Series A led by Jim Breyer, with participation from Jim O’Neill and Collaborative Fund. Based in London, Team Kano is highly-international and super passionate about empowering a new creative generation - a billion young creators worldwide.
