The name John F Hunt was first established in the 1930's as a Blacksmiths under the name Joseph Hunt & Sons of Diss Street, Hackney. The Company continued to develop and trade quite successfully as Fabricators & Engineers until the early 1980's when recession took its toll. John F Hunt Demolition was formed by John Hall in 1982 primarily concentrating on Demolition & Industrial Dismantling and is today one of the leading specialist demolition contractors in the UK. The parent company has since expanded operations to encompass many additional related activities such as controlled explosive demolition, temporary works, civil engineering, asbestos removal, ground remediation and four specialist hire companies.
