Intrinsic-ID is a world leader in the field of Cyber Physical Security Systems. Using our patented PUF (Physically Unclonable Function) technology, secret keys and identifiers are reliably extracted from the physical properties of chips. Much like the electronic equivalent of a human fingerprint the PUF uniquely identifies and authenticates any electronic device. PUFs can be used for secure hardware key management, to establish a hardware root of trust or to protect the electronic supply chains against clones and counterfeits. Because nothing is programmed in the device, the PUF provides the highest level of security against physical attacks. When a device with PUF is turned off, no secrets such as cryptographic keys are present in the hardware. Intrinsic-ID’s PUF technology and security solutions are deployed in devices ranging from low power IoT endpoints (Invensense, Synopsys) to high-end defense-grade FPGAs (Microsemi, Altera). Intrinsic-ID’s solutions cover the following markets: Embedded systems, IoT, Identification, automotive, communications, content distribution, payment, government and defense. Intrinsic-ID is a spin-off from Philips Electronics. The company is headquartered in San Jose, USA and has its R&D office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
