IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) is an independent, nonprofit scientific and educational organization dedicated to reducing deaths, injuries, and property damage from motor vehicle crashes. It focuses on human factors research and addresses problems associated with teenage drivers, alcohol-impaired driving, truck driver fatigue, and seat belt use, as well as vehicle research, that focuses on crash avoidance and crashworthiness, etc.
