Antica Erboristeria, is a company specialised in permanent hair colouring formulated without ammonia and enriched with herbal extracts. Founded in 1970 by Michele Albergo, a man passionate by plant’s properties and nature, Antica was the pioneer of a new Era of hair colouring products, conscious about safety and environment, in an industry dominated at that time by harsh chemicals and heavily-based ammonia products. Since its foundation, the company manages a fully integrated process, from R&D to production and manufacturing and its industrial and commercial facilities are based in Rome. Quality is a key value for the company and its high standards are ensured by a full traceability at any industrial stage and a strict selection of raw materials, all provided by European suppliers and constantly inspected. Since its foundation, Antica believes in a sustainable driven development, using recyclable and FSC cardboard and reducing the environmental impact thanks to its multiple use packaging. Since 2012 Antica Erboristeria belongs to Financière Maconnaise, a French group specialised in natural cosmetics, who firmly believes in the heritage of the brand and aims to support it with new strong investments in R&D, industrial technology and marketing.
