Our unconventional way of doing business has gotten a lot of attention. We’ve been named New York Magazine’s “Best of New York.” and winner of Angie's List Super Service Award in 2012. The company is the New York green cleaning ambassador for Limoneira, one of the largest lemon growers in the world. We’ve been written about in The New York Times, Martha Stewart’s Whole Living Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Crain’s NY, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist, Fortune Magazine, ABC World News, and more. Owner Saudia Davis is herself an LEED-certified green pioneer. In 2011, she won first place in the American Express OPEN Make Mine A Million $ Business Program. In 2012, GEC received the Black Enterprise Small Business People’s Choice Award. Saudia graduated from Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses. She sits on two U.S. Senate subcommittees (Small Business and MWBE), and volunteers for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). In 2013 she started blogging as a green cleaning and sustainable business expert for the Huffington Post.
