Granite Falls Energy, LLC owns and operates a fuel-grade ethanol plant. The company's business consists primarily of producing ethanol and its related co-products, including wet, modified and dried distillers’ grains, as well as corn oil. Granite Falls Energy ethanol production operations are carried out at our ethanol plant located in Granite Falls, Minnesota and at the ethanol plant operated by HLBE located near Heron Lake, Minnesota. Additionally, the company has a principal co-product of the ethanol production process which is distillers’ grains, a high-protein and high-energy animal feed ingredient primarily marketed to the dairy and beef industries. GFE also extracts non-edible crude corn oil during the thin stillage evaporation process immediately prior to production of distillers’ grains.
