The Company is principally engaged in manufacturing within two sectors, namely, mechanical engineering and refractory engineering. The Company operates through segments: Mechanical Engineering, engaged in casting, machining and general engineering, and Refractory Engineering, engaged in powder manufacture and mineral processing. Through its Mechanical Engineering division, the Company produces a range of dual plate and axial nozzle check valves to serve the oil, petrochemical, gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and water markets, high alloy castings, machining and general engineering products. Within the Refractory Engineering Division, Goodwin Refractory Services is engaged in developing, manufacturing and selling investment casting powders, waxes, silicone rubber and machinery for use in various operations, such as jewelry casting, aerospace, tire molding and the compressor wheels for turbochargers.
