The company offers services over the network of in-orbit satellites and active ground stations. In addition to supporting internet of things data transmissions in a variety of applications, the company provides connectivity in areas not served or underserved by terrestrial wireless and wireline networks. Its products include mobile and fixed satellite telephones, simplex and duplex satellite data modems, the SPOT family of mobile satellite consumer products including the SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger and flexible airtime service packages. Globalstar caters to oil and gas, emergency, maritime, forestry, construction, utilities, and other industries.
