Geothermal Engineering is bringing the most experienced geothermal engineers together with leading industry partners to develop the UK's first large-scale geothermal energy plant in Cornwall. Geothermal Engineering's flagship UK project is a deep geothermal power plant located at the United Downs Site, near Redruth in Cornwall. The United Downs project will involve: * Drilling and testing the deepest on shore wells in the UK. Each of the three wells required for the project will be 4.5kms deep * The development of a 10MW electric, 55MW thermal geothermal power plant * The development of a geothermal centre of excellence in conjunction with Exeter University
