Genesis Energy (formerly known as Genesis Power) is an electricity and gas retailer. It operates through four segments: Retail, Wholesale, Kupe, and Corporate. The Retail segment supplies energy including electricity, gas, and liquified petroleum gas (LPG). The Wholesale segment engages in the supply of electricity to the wholesale electricity market and the supply of gas and LPG to wholesale and retail customers. The Kupe segment is involved in the exploration, development, and production of gas, oil, and LPG. The Corporate segment manages corporate relations, property management, etc.
