Games Workshop

Games Workshop has been making Citadel Miniatures, the finest fantasy miniatures in the world, for over 30 years. Set in the worlds of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 these miniatures are prized by collectors, modellers and gamers alike. We do pretty much everything ourselves because we are obsessed with the quality of our products and services. Our global HQ is in Nottingham, UK and is home to over 600 employees. This is where we design our miniatures, games, books, paints, brushes and all the other products that people need to enjoy these gem-like creations. We also design and make the injection moulding tools that allow us to manufacture our miniatures to the highest standards. Every Citadel miniature sold worldwide is designed, engineered, manufactured and packed at our HQ, then despatched to one of our global warehouses or straight to the customer. We have 420+ retail stores in 20 countries, as well as trade sales teams selling to over 4000 independent retailers worldwide. The UK retail operations, European trade sales and export sales to territories where we don’t have operations are all run from our HQ, as well as our global webstore and customer service team which supports these sales businesses. Our HQ is also home to our global service centre with all of the functions needed to keep a £100m+ public company running – IT, Personnel & Finance to name a few. All our retail and trade operations for the US and Canada are run from Memphis, USA and from Sydney, Australia for Australia and New Zealand. Both sites have dedicated warehouses ensuring retail stores and trade stockists across these regions get the same high level of service as our UK and European customers. They have service centres too that make sure the business can keep running whatever happens. We also have a small office in Dusseldorf, Germany, which supports our continental European retail stores, as well as very small offices in Tokyo and Shanghai to support our growing Asian operations.

Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War III: Our impressions show strong story but confusing introduction

PREVIEW: I figured the first mission of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III would be easy. But even on a normal setting, I had to play the mission three times before I beat it. It wasn’t particularly hard, but a mild difficulty level and my complete befuddlement about what to do contributed to the nee…

Yes, Warhammer characters wear fur. But at least they do their own flaying | Alex Hern

Animal rights campaigners are upset about the fur stoles. Though what did they expect from a fantasy universe where the throne is made of skulls? The tabletop wargame Warhammer 40,000 lays its cards (and plastic, resin and metal miniatures) on the table from the word go.
