ElringKlinger AG develops, manufactures, and distributes technical and chemical products for the automotive sector and the manufacturing industry worldwide. It operates through five segments: Original Equipment, Aftermarket, Engineered Plastics, Services, and Industrial Parks. The Original Equipment segment develops, produces, and markets cylinder-head, specialty gaskets, and lightweight plastic components and housing modules for the power trains, as well as thermal and acoustic parts for engine, transmission, and exhaust tract applications. This segment also offers lithium ion batteries, fuel cell systems, exhaust gas purification systems, shielding systems, and lightweight plastic components for car body. The Aftermarket segment supplies a range of spare parts comprising cylinder-head gaskets and gasket sets used primarily for repairs to engines, gearboxes, and exhaust systems. The Engineered Plastics segment offers products made of polytetrafluoroethylene plastics for applications in the chemical and equipment engineering, medical and laboratory technology, mechanical engineering, and food technology. The Services segment provides development services for engines, transmissions, and exhaust tracts using testing and measurement facilities for vehicle manufacturers and automotive suppliers; and offers logistics services. This segment also operates restaurants and provides catering services. The Industrial Parks segment leases and manages land and buildings, which include industrial parks located in Idstein near Frankfurt and Kecskemét in Hungary. ElringKlinger AG was founded in 1879 and is headquartered in Dettingen an der Erms, Germany.
