Eight Roads Ventures Summary

Company Summary

Overview
Fidelity’s first principal investment business, Fidelity Ventures, was established in 1969. Through Edward C. Johnson 3d’s thirst for building businesses, willingness to challenge the status quo and insatiable intellectual curiosity, Fidelity Ventures backed success stories including global communication leader MCI; Continental Cablevision - one of the world’s first cable networks; and first generation personal computer and video game manufacturer, ATARI. Born out of this heritage, Eight Roads and sister fund, F-Prime Capital, maintains an unwavering commitment to these entrepreneurial roots and ideals. Today, we are bold investors, operators and builders of businesses. We back entrepreneurs with conviction. We partner with management and founders with shared purpose. We seed and develop companies. Our mindset is captured most concisely in the Eight Roads symbol. It combines the number ‘8’, with its strong associations particularly in Asia of lasting wealth and prosperity, and the infinity symbol. We call this shorthand ‘wealth to the power of time’. For us, it summarises our absolute commitment to building bold and meaningful businesses.
