DloHaiti is a market-based solution providing safe drinking water in Haiti at a price average Haitians can afford. Large numbers of Haitians lack access to potable water. The Haitian government does not currently provide consistently potable drinking water to the Haitian population, and the alternatives provided by the private companies are often unreliable, expensive, and inconvenient. By establishing kiosk facilities where water is purified on site and distributed from a closer distance to where it is received, dloHaiti will be able to provide cheaper water that is of better quality. This also means obtaining the water is significantly more convenient for the consumer. The model is more cost effective and energy efficient, and in addition to providing cheaper and cleaner water, it creates jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for Haitians who will be employed both at the kiosks facilities and as distributors and delivery agents.
