Cummins (formerly known as Cummins Engine) is a company that designs, manufactures, distributes, and services diesel, natural gas, electric, and hybrid powertrains and powertrain-related components. It operates in five business segments: Engine, Components, Distribution, Power Systems, and New Power. The Engine segment manufactures and markets a range of diesel and natural gas-powered engines. The Components segment supplies after-treatment systems, turbochargers, transmissions, filtration products, electronics, fuel systems, axles, drivelines, brakes, etc. The Distribution segment sells and supports a range of products and services, including power generation systems, high-horsepower engines, and heavy-duty and medium-duty engines. The Power Systems segment offers power generators as well as controls, paralleling systems, alternator products, and transfer switches. The New Power segment delivers hydrogen production solutions as well as electrified power systems and subsystems, including battery, fuel cell, and electric powertrain technologies.
