Cummins (formerly known as Cummins Engine Company) is a manufacturer of power solution products. It operates through five segments: Engine, Components, Distribution, Power Systems, and Accelera. The Engine segment manufactures diesel and natural gas engines for heavy-duty, medium-duty, light-duty, and off-highway applications, along with related parts and remanufactured products. The Components segment produces drivetrain and braking systems, emission solutions, turbochargers, fuel systems, valvetrain technologies, electronic controls, software, and automated transmissions. The Distribution segment sells and services engines, power generation systems, aftermarket parts, and related products through a global network of company-owned, joint venture, and independent distributors. The Power Systems segment provides power generation equipment, high-horsepower engines, and alternators for industrial, commercial, defense, and energy applications. The Accelera segment develops and commercializes electrified power systems, including batteries, fuel cells, electric powertrains, and hydrogen production technologies.
