Cuculus develops, implements, operates and supports server-based Smart Metering and Smart Home software solutions to enable grid operators, energy suppliers, and other related parties to upgrade their operations and be ready for the energy transition. The initial focus was on the German home market, but in recent years the scope has included projects in other European countries. Since July 2013 Cuculus meets the quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 to confirm the quality oriented and customer focused way of working. Cuculus' head office is located in Ilmenau - a key technology center in the province of Thuringia, Germany- close to many innovative companies in automation, measurement technique and software development. The company has grown quickly and added staff and resources by setting up development and support centers in Leipzig (2011) and Cologne (2012). In addition, Cuculus has several sales offices in Germany and other European countries.
