CSIR - National Institute Of Oceanography (NIO) is a research organization. It undertakes scientific research and studies on the oceanographic features of the Northern Indian Ocean. The organization also carries out applied research including oceanographic data collection, environmental impact assessment, and modeling to predict environmental impact.
