Cotswold Fayre

OverviewSuggest Edit

We are a fine food wholesaler supplying independent retailers with quality fine food and gourmet food products sourced from the best producers from the UK and across the globe. We started as a distribution hub for a few small producers in the Cotswolds. The values we had then, still hold true today. Here at Cotswold Fayre we are dedicated to providing independent retailers with a complete range of top quality ambient food and drink products. The vast majority of our suppliers are drawn from Great Britain and Ireland but we recognise that there are some products that just can’t be produced here. So, rather than limit our portfolio we also stock the finest products from around the world. An increasing number of our brands are exclusively available through Cotswold Fayre to the UK and Ireland. Most of our suppliers are small producers that you won’t find in the major supermarkets. We differ from other wholesalers in that we work in close partnership with our suppliers, many of whom we count as friends, not just suppliers! This means that you, our customers are also ‘close’ to the people making the food and drink you are selling within your shop. Our suppliers are happy to do promotions, provide sample stock and come and do tastings for your customers.

Paul Hargreaves: Today

If the pandemic and lockdown have taught us anything it has been to slow down and reflect more. Even for those who haven’t been furloughed and have been working harder than ever, we have had our travel and nights out taken away from us, so may have had more time to ‘be’ rather than ‘do’. It is a wes…

Paul Hargreaves: Stress & Worry

No doubt for some today is the day they have been waiting for as they can finally open their businesses for the first time since Christmas, but for others who have created a new business or adapted an existing business model, it may be a time of worry. Will what I have done during the past few month…

CF Blog: Social-Distanced Dining

With the weather warming up, the days stretching longer into the evenings and the government guidelines relaxing, dinning outside has never been so exciting. Now the ‘Rule of 6’ back in place, gathering in parks and gardens for a picnic or BBQ will be happening earlier in the season than normal so i…

Paul Hargreaves: Leadership

There is an interview question I have been asking for around 15 years, “Who (outside your family) has most inspired you in either your personal or work life?”. I must have asked it over 100 times, but am usually disappointed with the answer. Many people struggle to look outside their family, which i…

Paul Hargreaves: Variety is the Spice of Life

Never has a saying been truer than that. With many of us having less variety in our lives than ever for the past year, with the year anniversary of lockdown tomorrow, let’s briefly explore this week how to invigorate our lives a little for this last few month’s (hopefully) of lockdown. I don’t know …
