CAQH

CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) is a non-profit organization that develops initiatives focusing on business operations in the healthcare industry. It operates the CAQH CORE (the Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange) program which is an industry-wide stakeholder collaboration between providers, health plans, vendors, government agencies, and standard-setting bodies committed to the development and adoption of national operating rules for administrative transactions. It covers technical standards and common business practices for sharing data among parties. The organization also manages the CAQH ProView unit that connects physicians, nurses, social workers, and other professional providers to health plans, hospitals, and other organizations and enables them to exchange provider demographic, credentialing, and enrollment data; and CAQH Explorations, the research division that coordinates, tracks, and reports data-driven research and progress based on annual Explorations publications - CAQH Index Report.
