Our Story: BrandYourself started when Co-Founder Pete Kistler couldn't get an internship in college because he was being mistaken for a drug dealer of the same name in Google. At the time, Pete didn't have the background to improve his search results himself and traditional reputation companies quoted him thousands each month. Fortunately, he linked up with Patrick Ambron & Evan McGowan-Watson who did have a background in search engine optimization (SEO) and were able to clean up his reputation, but they couldn't stop thinking about the millions of other people who needed the tools to build a positive online presence. So, they decided to put the power of SEO and online reputation in everybody's hands, regardless of how tech savvy or wealthy they might be. BrandYourself developed the first free DIY online reputation management tool that guides anyone through the process of creating an online presence. In 2013, they launched Concierge Services for people who need more hands on help. As part of these services, clients receive a dedicated Reputation Specialist who develops and implements a custom strategy for establishing a positive personal brand.
