BlueFire Renewables

BlueFire Renewables (also known as BlueFire Ethanol) is a company that develops and operates biorefineries for converting cellulosic waste materials into fuels. It uses the Arkenol concentrated acid hydrolysis process to produce ethanol and other products from feedstocks such as wood wastes, agricultural residues, rice and wheat straws, and post-sorted municipal solid waste. The company supplies wood pellets blended with lignin and serves the biofuels and biomass energy markets.
