BBOXX is an international business that offers solar power to families without reliable access to electricity. BBOXX engineers, manufactures, finances and sells plug & play solar systems, leading The Solar Revolution across the developing world. BBOXX retails solar kits on monthly payment plans, reducing the barrier of upfront costs and unlocking solar for the mass market. Through SMART Solar, BBOXX links products and data to benefit customers and provide superior responsive customer service. Thus far, 41,000 BBOXX products have been sold in more than 35 countries, improving the lives of more than 205,000 people. BBOXX PRODCUTS BBOXX produces solar kits, residential solar installations, energy kiosks and efficient accessories for sales in the developing world. Solar kits offer 10Wh to 1kWh of electricity, while solar installations offer 2kWh to 20kWh of electricity. BBOXX solar kits and installations are charged by solar panels and/or grid electricity where available. BBOXX Energy Kiosks rent solar kits to local communities, providing basic electricity for lights and phone charging. By also offering accessories such as LED lights, phone chargers, televisions and refrigerators. BBOXX provides more than just solar lanterns, BBOXX provides complete energy solutions. BBOXX IMPACT Since 2010, BBOXX has sold 41,000 units in 35 countries, providing 205,000 people with electricity. By using BBOXX people have longer working or studying hours, in addition to safety and environmental benefits. BBOXX GROWTH In December 2013, the Financial Times called BBOXX “one of the UK’s fastest growing companies”. As income levels in rural communities rise, more people can afford access to electricity services, and BBOXX is there to serve them. BBOXX has 30 rural shops in 3 countries, and by the end of 2014, will grow to 60 shops in 4 countries.
