Aseptia Summary

Company Summary

Overview
Aseptia was established in 2006 to solve a fundamental challenge in the food industry: How can we bring longer shelf life to food while maintaining the fresh taste and sensory appeal? A Team of Pioneering Food Scientists The answer was developed under a team of internationally recognized pioneers in the food industry at North Carolina State University. Harnessing microwave energy to deliver rapid pasteurization and sterilization, the team achieved what was considered impossible just a few short years ago. They created a groundbreaking aseptic process that delivers unprecedented quality and shelf life for packaged foods while meeting strict FDA standards for food safety. And it’s all done without refrigeration, without canning, without preservatives or additives. The Journey from Concept to Kitchen To bring this new technology to use across a wide range of food industry products, Aseptia formed our subsidiary Wright Foods in Troy, N.C. Since 2012, Wright Foods has formulated and co-packed shelf-stable soups, purees, juices and more for multiple product lines – including retail and foodservice – utilizing the latest advances in aseptic preservation and packaging. Innovation is alive and well within the food industry, and Aseptia’s core technology can meet the needs of companies eager to explore the future of freshness.
