Alongside (also known as Guide Care) is a company developing a mental health support app for adolescents for self-help learning, wellness activities, and self-monitoring. It is a digital toolkit that uses a chatbot that points students to evidence-informed resources (exercises and videos). The company has an artificial intelligence crisis detection system that monitors and recognizes keywords and phrases in the app. Confirmed crises are directed to the school for a response assessment and students are provided access to national and local support resources.
