The University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego) is a public research university. It is organized into seven undergraduate residential colleges, including Revelle, John Muir, Thurgood Marshall, Earl Warren, Eleanor Roosevelt, Sixth, and Seventh. UC San Diego also has four academic divisions (Arts and Humanities, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences) and a number of graduate and professional schools, such as Rady School of Management, Jacobs School of Engineering, School of Global Policy and Strategy, and Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Besides, the university operates UC San Diego Health, an academic health system that provides patient care, conducts medical research, and educates future health care professionals.
